Solution to the game.

Greetings, all.

On this first day of the New Year I wish peace and prosperity for everyone. As promised, I will now give you the answer to the game question. I commend those of you who played, for you did so, well. Though no one gave the solution as such, some of you arrived at the correct answer by solving some of the clues. I took into consideration that not everyone would have the basic knowledge of The Arts so each clue contained the root of the answer and a combination of the clues would have given the overall answer. I will take you through each step as the purpose of that is to teach you to look for keys and to show you how to simplify rather than dive in too deeply. We begin:
#1- Game begins: The date was 11/01/04 which, if the numbers are added then reduced, is equal to the number '7'.
#2- What is in a number: The dictionary was your source to solve this one and I gave you the answer in the next clue.
#3- Define, codify, symbolize: is both the clue and the answer to #2, so definition, codification, and symbolization is contained in a number and those are its 'power'.
#4- One day, one month, three gemstones: Tuesday is the 'only' day of the week that contains 7 letters; January and October are the 'only' months that contain 7 letters; diamond, emerald, and peridot are 'three' gems that contain 7 letters. The key is the word 'only' in the week and the months. 'Three' was key in reference to gems which means there are other choices there but the 'only' in the other two should have prompted you to look for those with 'only' 7 letters.
#5- Cardinal influence- Remember your basic math? Cardinal numbers, of which 7 is one such number.
#6- Addition and reduction is the path to choose, remember; it works when you combine all the clues: This one was a very clear lead which you could have used to go back and solve clue #1, which would then have put you on the path of what you were looking for in the successive clues.
#7- Three alike spoke and gave their views and all revealed and extra clue. Go back and read and surely you'll see, it has something to do with clues 1, 2, and 3: This clue was a little tougher but designed to force you to search for the solution in a different way. In their posts, Faith, Hope, and Charity each made reference to something that had to do with the number 7 (week, etc.)
#8- Born of the veil: A reference to one born of the veil which is the 7th child of a 7th child.
#9- Addition and reduction are things to do, so try it and see where those paths lead you: Used this one again, a duplicate to reinforce the nature of the game since some of you were reaching the level of frustration.

Now you see the pattern I used to arrive at the answer which is 'The power of Seven'. '7' is a number of great influence and while it quantifies and symbolizes, it defies order, for the cardinal numbers have no condition of coherent or logical arrangement. It is that lack of condition and logic (order) from which its power is derived and therefore why, down through the ages, all things of an occult nature are in balance with it. That defiance of condition and logic in occult matters is what leads Outsiders to continually attempt to disprove anything about and all who hold sway with the supernatural. And those who demand condition, logic, and order are those who will never accept and understand that all is not according to their plan and path of belief. Ponder and Blessed May You Be.
