A message from Dream Teller
Good morning.
'Tis been a long and arduous two weeks since last we posted to our blog. We have spent a major portion of that time in the field, assisting those who were in the path of the hurricane. 'Tis a sad situation, but no' all has been defeat. Some of our colleagues lost their homes and possessions, too, but that has no' stopped them from going to the aid of others who were less fortunate. While I know how dedicated my colleagues are, I still marvel at how unselfishly they have cast aside their own problems and sorrows, and gone about the business at hand.
I can no' begin to tell you of the devestation seen, first hand; scenes the television news can no' do justice to. Many of you have e-mailed us to tell us of friends and family members you have in the hard hit areas, some have requested assistance, and others of you have generously offered to send supplies, money, and so forth. To those who are still waiting to hear from your loved ones, I can only say hold on, there are many agencies attempting to reunite families, find missing children, and they are doing their best. The chaos is beginning to settle and 'tis my hope that all of you will find your loved ones. To those offering supplies and money, I encourage you to contact a reputable agency, as we do no' have the means to receive nor distribute those. Blessings upon all of you for your kindness.
As our colleagues continue to do their part, protect the innocent; hunt down those who prey upon them, I am pleased to say that our efforts have met with some success. You know those of whom I speak, and our greatest feat to date was to apprehend one of the most notorious fiends one can imagine. Our search and destroy mission will continue, as always. 'Twas the horrendous circumstances brought about by the storm that gave us a leg up in our efforts. He, and others like him, got careless and 'tis that carelessness and their greed which most often undoes them.
As the mission continues, we will gradually draw back and regroup for we must no' leave other areas without assistance. Too, each of us must come in for a much needed rest, which is being done on a rotation-type basis. If you stop to consider all that is involved with our work, you will surely figure out that we are stretched thin; to the point of breaking. And while 'tis most difficult to walk away from the situation, even for a few hours, it must be done.
I would ask that you hold off e-mailing us, as there is no possible way to answer all our mail. We are only maintaining a skeleton crew here at the lair, and they are busy taking care of the needs of those in the field. In the meantime, know that we will eventually get back on track and until we do, please keep the faith, continue to pray for the less fortunate, and stay safe. Blessed May You Be, Dream Teller.
