Just when you think....
Welcome back, one and all.
At the last posting to our blog, we were bringing you up to speed on our progress following the massive Hurricane Katrina. Who would have thought another disaster would follow so closely on her heels? Aye and while some of our colleagues were caught in that tragedy, and others of us were scattered, attempting to aid the victims in Louisiana, Alabama, Florida and Mississipi, Hurricane Rita bore down on those of us located in South East Texas and Western Louisiana, and again, Mother Nature revisited Florida and New Orleans. The Gulf Coast regions have suffered major blows, to be sure, but we are a hardy lot and we will rebuild.
Goes to show that just when you think you are in full control of your life, there is something far greater than in the offing to make one sit up and take notice. Mother Nature is never to be ignored, for while she may show us her majestic beauty, she will also show us her dark side. And so she has.
Only today, some of our communication systems were restored; and thankful we are to be able to get in touch with our colleagues and friends. For weeks we were without means of knowing one anothers whereabouts, and we are still waiting to hear from some of our own. So as we set about getting things back in order, assessing damage, and replacing our communication centers, know that in the very near future our blog will be up and running again. In the meantime we will post short information messages, as we find time, and we hope you will stay in touch with us until we are restored to full power. Blessed May You Be, Justin, Office Communications for 'The Lair'.
