The Lair -membership information now available
Fair day, friends.
At last we are ready to open membership to the Lair. As told you earlier, different levels have been created to accomodate the different requirements of our members. Everyone begins at level one which was created for the purpose of membership affiliation. Once you have paid your fee you will receive a membership packet outlining rules of membership and explaining the levels. You then fill out the membership form and send it to the proper location. Dream Teller and her staff will then assign the new member to the level suitable to the information received from your form.
The packet of information is extremely important so please read all before you apply for full membership. If, after reading the information, you decide not to apply simply return the information packet intact and your fee will be returned. The packet must be complete so please take care to keep the paperwork together.
Things you should know: (1) In keeping with the need to protect our location and colleagues you will discover the lengths we often go to in order to achieve that purpose. Thus any incoming mail, etc. is always rerouted through other channels ( this is an example of how our Outsider colleagues assist us). So some of you will be asked to email certain information while others will be asked to use snail mail. (2) Keep in mind Dream Teller's previous warning - no personal information such as your SS #, bank account #, etc. will ever be requested from the Lair. If anyone ever requests such information while claiming association with the Lair do no' give in to the request. (3) You will have the opportunity to earn back your fee; earn gifts specific to the Lair; and for the few, meet some of our esteemed colleagues. (4) Some of you will, in time, be offered the opportunity to become part of our network of Outsider assistants ( but that does no' happen overnight ).
Those are but a few of the needs-to-know; the rest is thoroughly explained in the membership info. The membership drive is set to begin Monday, June 19th ( aye two days prior to Summer Solstice). Dream Teller chose this particular week so that we may ask blessings for all who desire to join us. As the week will be terribly busy know that your request will be processed within 10 working days ( aye, we function much like the rest of the world ). The first thing required of you is to send in your membership fee (these are to be used to cover costs of organizing and administering the membership). Some of you will no' be comfortable with sending money without a guarantee of something in return. 'Tis for that reason that Dream Teller kept the fee at a minimum she felt would cover costs. Too, 'tis the only way we can operate and protect the Lair at the same time. So e-mail your request for membership (our outside e-mail address is always available at the end of our post and mail is then rerouted to the Lair) and you will learn how and where to send the $30.00 membership fee. If you are no' comfortable with the amount or the sending, you are free to decline.
Everyone here at the Lair hopes we have a successful membership drive and we look forward to welcoming those who have a true desire to become trusted and loyal friends. (Remember, you will be in the company of others like yourself who seek to come together in kinship.) And now, a message from Dream Teller:

As many of you know, at the beginning of this quest to form a membership I was no' in favor of the idea. However, given the number of requests, no' to mention the idea sparked interest with some of my esteemed colleagues, I have gradually come around to realizing the value of such an association. The greatest disadvantage, to my way of thinking, was the enormous amount of time 'twill require to administer to the membership. That concern has been dealt with and while I have many other concerns, those too will be dealt with. 'Tis time that we began our earnest search for colleagues and where better than among our own membership.
I do hope that as we begin the membership drive you will have patience. We feel we have covered every eventuality so that things run smoothly but 'tis a new venture, so bear with us as we work out the minor kinks that are sure to arise. In the mean time, I would ask this of all who plan to seek membership; do no' ask all and asundry to join just so that you might earn back your membership fee. Understand that no' all who apply will be accepted and those fees will be refunded. 'Tis certain criteria we will look for on each application that will lead us to accept or decline a prospective member. Remember that no' everyone has an interest in what we are about and therefore would create and unhappy member. So your first task as a prospective member of The Lair is to make an informed decision for yourself and the second is to choose other perspective members, wisely.
