Bonjour mes amies,
'Tis been much going on here at the Lair; thus the long time since we've posted to our blog. As you all know many is the time we must fall silent in order to protect ourselves as well as those we seek to help. This past month we have all been out and about doing what must be done. Dream Teller has only recently returned to the Lair, along with Garth and Jessica; all of whom need much rest from their duties. The Warlock Gregory and the Sorceress JoHaunna are expected to return to their home within the next few days and, hopefully, the rest of our team will follow, each in their own time.
If you recall we were in the process of setting up the membership for the Lair. To date we have accepted 103 members and still we must sort through a mountain of applications. Know to that we have denied twice as many applicants for various reasons. Many of the visitors to the Blog are under the false assumption that the membership drive is for the purpose of starting a fan club. AS was said before, no' the case. Too, others have attempted to join for unsavory purposes, some of whom are agents of those who are our enemies. We are always on alert but on the occassion one of those types slips past our guard. 'Tis the nature of the beast and one we must always be prepared to deal with. We thank all of our visitors and members for their patience and understanding.
Given the nature of things this past month, once again we have extended the deadline for membership applications. Our goal is a membership made up of as near to equal numbers among the levels of membership as is possible. Each of those levels will operate under the guidance and direction of one or more of our team leaders. Thus, while we view the membership as a whole, each level can operate independantly for given purposes. If you think about it, you will understand why each level requires the ability to operate independant of the others. The highest level; those with working abilities and talents, have the capabilities to directly assist us in our duties. The lower levels will generally be in transition as the members choose to progress or, as with the lowest level, merely remain at that level for their own reasons. As you can see, the level system was set up to provide for the members particular needs and desires.
We have welcomed two new team members among us and soon, you will hear from each of them, as they introduce themselves and their particular talents. For the time being they are busy settling among us, getting to know each of us, and preparing to take on duties which will help lighten the load on the rest of us. No, they did no' come to us by way of the membership drive but through other channels. We are most pleased to have them and look forward to along and fruitful journey together.
We have so much e-mail backed up 'tis impossible to respond to all of it but know that we are reading each and every one of those. 'Twould be in your best interest to resubmit your questions if you do no' see an answer here in the next couple of weeks. Please, give it at least two weeks so an no' to compound the amount of mail we already have to wade through. We will be posting answers beginning tomorrow evening.
