Wrong judgment

Greetings All.

As many of you were upset by the last post by the Sorceress Suzaunna, for various reasons, I will speak to that this morning. I indicated earlier on that my blog site would serve many purposes, not the least of which is a public forum with which to reach those who might otherwise be unreachable. Too, when one uses this site and the information provided as a springboard for ill gain, one must accept responsibility for one's actions. 'Tis the case in this particular situation.

While the Sorceress's message was strongly worded (it was intended to be) you must take care not to read more into the message than was there, nor take from it what was not intended. Persons of powerful position, such as the Sorceress, do not waste time mincing words. The message was delivered with clear thought and designed to provoke thoughtfulness by those who acted irresponsibly. I encourage those of you who took exception to the message to go back and re-read it, for you will not find any mention of death as a consequence for the irrational acts of vandalism and theft.

Those to whom she spoke have been regular visitors to this site (they are not your ordinary individuals) and have used e-mail as a source to spew prejudice, make reprehensible threats, and taunt certain individuals. I do not give space on my site to those types of messages but I do pass them along to those for whom they were intended. As it happened the Warlock and the Sorceress were out of the country at the time I tried to contact them (which the perpetrators obviously knew), and upon their return they found their lovely home in shambles and many of their belongings destroyed or stolen. Many of you inquired why they did not call in law enforcement rather than take matters into their own hands.

The answer is quite simple. While Witches follow the laws of the Outsiders' society there are times when they must cleave to the laws of their own society. Had it only been a matter of vandalism they could have called in law enforcement. But what was stolen left them no choice but to handle the situation, personally, for what was stolen would clearly put them in the public eye and thus destroy any possibility of privacy.

The fact that the perpetrators found and took particular items makes clear that the couple's home was not randomly chosen. In fact it is clear that the thieves knew exactly what they were looking for, had the intelligence to seek secret locations, and figure out how to access those locations. From that you should comprehend that the items they took were of great value, above and beyond monetary value. Those items pose danger to those who have no sense of their use, as well as to innocents who could well be caught in the crossfire. If those find their way into the possession of adversaries who know how to use them the couple and their own at grave risk, as well.

The Sorceress gave the perpetrators fair warning (note her reference to being led and to darkness deceiving). She put the perpetrators on notice, for several reasons. One might wonder why the Warlock does not go straight to the source. Again, simple. He is well aware of the trap laid for him. The perpetrators are unaware of being used as bait else they would not have openly bragged in public, and unaware that their lives truly are in danger, but from an unknown source. It falls to the Warlock to overlook that the perpetrators, Outsiders, are unworthy of his assistance, and render aid to save them from certain death. In that they will learn two valuable lessons; taunting a Witch is not in their best interests, and how easily one can fall prey to an unknown evil.

One might also wonder if by making all of this known any hope of finding the perpetrators and recovering the stolen items will be lost, and what of it if the real adversary has access to this information. Naught is lost but much is gained. Word is already out among societies of Witches, some of whom have banded together to assist in tracking the adversary while others keep tabs on the thieves. They want both adversary and thieves aware of the danger, for awareness leads one to make mistakes; act irrationally, and without the time to plan one's actions. Come the dawn the wheels are already in motion.

Mayhap you will not now be so quick to judge another without full comprehension of what they are about. The Sorceress and her Warlock practice White Majic and they only resort to use of the alternative against one who practices that alternative. There is an old saying that one must 'fight fire with fire' and such is the case in this instance. As you must surely see, outside law enforcement is useless against crimes of this nature and to call those officials in would have been to bring harm upon them. Ponder and Blessed May You Be.
