A few free moments to answer some mail

Bonjour mes amies.

'Tis been a while since we have had the opportunity to touch base with our many visitors. Dream Teller has spent the better part of the last week reading and answering her mail. While we certainly cannot answer everyone, given the little time spared us from our other duties, I will post answers today and hopefully the rest of the week we can put some quality time into our blog. Fair day, Kaithlin.

To Jess in Alabama: Aye, the very nature of our business leaves little personal time for each of us. But 'tis our way of life and one we do no' turn our backs on, simply for self-serving reasons. What we do manage to do is to incorporate time for self into our busy schedules, and that we accomplish with some degree of success because of our ability to work together. Too, we accept that there will always be far more than we can handle, colletively or alone, and thus we do no' run around chasing our tails and wasting valuable time. Simply put, we choose our battles when we can. Those battles that find us are, per force, dealt with forthwith. Our success is a product of a tightly knit organization built upon the premise that each and every member is of great importance to that success. While we have leaders at the healm of our ship (this is where we differ from any business, group, or organization), those leaders do no' set themselves above the others. Aye, to be sure they are leaders because of their experience and greater abilities. However, our success rides with leaders who have come out of the dark ages into modern times. They recognize that certain of the Old Ways no longer serve well in these modern times. For instance, they have learned that 'lording it over subjects', so to speak, demanding obedience, etc., were the very ways that built and ultimately destroyed entire kingdoms and countries. What we have with us is the single most objective group of intelligent Beings; a collection of differing Kinds. While there are certainly large egos among us (always will be where these Kinds are concerned), each of us has learned that ego is the source of the downfall of many. So, here is where every member, regardless of title or status, listens and learns from every other member. And because we work together, 'tis no' rare to find a member of our leadership (Council) sitting in the chair of an office staff member who needed some time away. As you can see, we believe we have discovered a true receipe for the success we are striving to achieve. Blessed May You Be.

Following the above, many of you will note that Dream Teller incorporated a bit of teaching into that answer and answered many other's questions. Keep an eye out, for even though the answer may no' be addressed to you, Dream Teller is known for making the most of time and space, non?

To Lara in California: I welcome you as a new visitor to our Blog. I would encourage you to go back into our archieves and there you will find the answers to many of the questions you posed. 'Tis no' that I will no' take the time to answer them but there will you learn that time is a valuble commodity we so often find ourselves without. As to our schedule of events for the rest of this year; we will no' be joining with others until such time that we have managed to recover from the earlier hurricanes. Welcome and Blessed May You Be.

To Gracien in Florida: I know of none who succeed by taking the easy road. 'Tis part of life that we are tested and those who skim the surface, never meeting challenges, but detouring around those obstacles in order to get by are no' living life to the fullest. 'Tis choices each of us must make and 'tis by our own choices that we succeed or fail. Think about all that you have revealed to me and then face your obstacles , squarely, and see what truly stands before you. Blessed May You Be.

To Ciara in Washington: 'Tis a dangerous game you will be playing should you opt to take him up on his offer. Look beneath the surface and see the true Being who fills your head with such rot. If he truly is who he says he is (I can no' know from this distance) you will best be served by walking away. If he is nothing more than a player then 'tis his folly which will land him in grave danger with those he seeks to portray himself a commrade of. Either way, 'tis no' a world you should be looking to enter. Beware of false prophets.

To Faith in Louisiana: You are well named, child, and your heart is in the right place. But I fear you are being led astray. Your youth will no' serve you well in this case and though you seem highly intelligent and equally intuitive, I fear you have no' the experience to recognize the danger that surrounds you. As Garth is already in that area he will be looking into the situation. STay well away, and leave it to the expert. Blessed May You Be.

To Brent in Idaho: Fair warning. I will leave it at that.

To all of you who continue to follow our Blog, you have my thanks and appreciation for bearing with us. Know that no matter how tied up we are, we will always do our best to speak to you and your questions from this forum. But remember the real purpose this Blog was meant to serve and that must always take precedence over any other. Blessings Upon All, DReam Teller

Message delivered

Bonjour mes amies.

Once again we are back on line following a blackout related to some disturbing events which took place over the past few weeks. The Council sent two of our Hunters to investigate some well-timed, particularly vicious attacks against one of our sister Covens. 'Twas no' known why the particular Coven was a target, for 'tis a peaceful group with no history of violence to it's name.

What is now known is the identity of those who orchestrated the attacks. They have gone into hiding but 'tis only a matter of time before our Hunters find them. The perpetrators believe themselves invincible; without flaw; too intelligent to make mistakes. Their leader is no' a stranger to us, for he has long attempted to to gain a foothold in the Southern States. 'Tis his hatred for the powerful Warlocks and Sorceresses whose territories he has failed to wrest from them, on numerous occassions, which drove him. Aye, and intelligent he is, for many of those earlier attacks were carried out with none the wiser for whom the master-mind was. But he made a mistake this time; chose one of the Covens under the protection of the Warlock Gregory and the Sorceress JoHaunna; a most powerful couple, with a powerful family behind them.

As you know, this Blog serves many purposes, to withhold certain information by blackout; to convey coded information; to direct colleagues, far and wide, and so on. And so 'tis being used, now, as we speak. How? Those perpetrators follow the information pipeline the same as anyone else. Now, I gladly serve at the Warlock Gregory's pleasure and post this message:

Know that you are no longer anonymous, but marked. Know there is no safe haven from your pursuers; Hunters of the highest calibre. You will be brought to stand accountable, before the High Council, and justice will prevail.

Tarot Cards

Fair day, all.

I am the Sorceress Suzaunna and I am pleased to speak about the Tarot, at Dream Teller's request. As she has received many requests for answers regarding their history, the different types of spreads, interpretation of single and combined cards, the numerous decks one might purchase, and so on, I will speak to each of those requests. For now, I will begin with the history.

Much of our history was passed from generation to generation by word of mouth, or written in ancient languages; some of which is difficult to decipher. One might consider the writer's handwriting, what was available at a particular time to write with and upon.... Ah, but you get my drift. There remains precious few of the ancient tomes, parchments, and scrolls written by our ancestors and those are hoarded to protect them from falling into the wrong hands. Then there are those already in the wrong hands and those lost or destroyed, through time. Thus, 'tis often through trial and error that Witches are able to recreate what was lost. 'Tis an ongoing pursuit, piecing together our history, but 'tis a labor of love which drives the most who put forth such effort.

I am proud to say that my parents, the Warlock Gregory and the Sorceress JoHaunna, are two of the most devoted Witches given to the research and restoration of our historical beginnings. Their's is one of the few, near-complete libraries of the history of our Kind. 'Twill never be complete, for some of what is lost is gone forever, but to this day they still come upon wonderful finds. Their continuing search has taken them across the globe and back again. So I am sure you can understand what it entails to follow the trail of history so important to our Kind.

Those who visit this blog on a regular basis will remember that Dream Teller told you of the losses we suffered during the recent hurricanes. While many of our personal belongings were destroyed, our family's dedicated stewardship to preserving our history paid off. Even while the estate took a direct hit and much of the house was damaged, all of the material in the library was safely stored in underground vaults which Papa had the foresight to have built for just such a possibility.

I will now speak to your many requests concerning the Tarot. 'Tis said that the Tarot came into being as far back as the twelfth century but there is no hard and fast proof of the actual origin and time (consider what of our history was lost), so we can only speculate. Some of the oldest decks were created by etching stones, much like the Runes of old, others were drawn on parchment, and so on until we have what is now the modern cardstock.

There are seventy-eight cards and those are divided into two sets. The first is the Major Arcana which consists twenty-two major trumps. The Minor Arcana totals fifty-six which consists of four suits of fourteen cards. Each set can be employed and read seperately or in combination. 'Tis the nature of the foretelling which determines the need for the use of the full deck or either set.

'Tis no' the reading of a book and 'laying' the cards which determine if one has the gift of foretelling. There are many charlatans waiting to take your money for a reading. They only possess the same information you have access to when you purchase a Tarot deck. How will you know a charlatan from one with the true gift? Easy enough. If you are seeking a little fun, look for those who sit on street corners, those who advertise with promises to bring you luck, love, and money, and so on.

While one with the true gift of foretelling may make their living by reading the Tarot, they are less likely to promise tom-foolery for $20.00 (although some will). But generally those with the true gift do no' sit on street corners nor seek out clients. 'Tis the nature of their gift which draws clients to their realm or sends them in search of one whom the gifted is destined to aid.

As with anything, the Outsider should always employ caution when dealing with one who will gain knowledge of your personal circumstances and/or finances. Even some with the gift of foretelling will gladly use that information for unsavory purposes. Can you be 100% positive a reader is a fair and truthful one? No' unless you have a Witch in your pocket to apprise you of who is or is no' on the level. Fair warning.

I will return to teach about the Tarot very soon. Fair day and blessings upon all who are deserving, Suzanna.

Belief and Faith....

Fair day, all.

'Tis a lovely day, this, the first of April. Some will view it as just another day on the calendar, others will no' even give it a thought, while others, yet, will consider it a new beginning; an opportunity to start over. In the past I have advanced the thought of beginning again, never giving up on one's self or one's beliefs and holding tight to one's faith.

Faith in one's God and belief in self is, after all, the only two things some folks feel they have left to them. Why they feel that way is born of various reasons but the fact they feel so is either the catalyst that sends one to one's knees in prayer, or the straw that sends them to their knees beneath the weight they can no longer carry.

These past several months have taken their toll on those along the Gulf Coast regions. While hurricanes Katrina and Rita are distant memories for the majority of those no' caught in the paths of destruction, 'tis still fresh in the minds of those affected in various ways. I have received many e-mails to the effect of "Why can't people just let it go and get on with life?" Why indeed. Mayhap you all will think about the following points:
1) There are numerous (no' a few, or some here and there) families and/or individuals without homes to return to.
2) There are numerous families/individuals living in the shambles of their damaged homes.
3) There are many families/individuals yet displaced to far corners with no hope of returning to their homes dues to various circumstances.
4) The changes in the environment wrought by the storms. It may surprise you that folks, particularly the elderly, are affected by the vastly changed 'look' of their surroundings.
5) Some are still waiting for repairs to be done to property that continues to deteriorate whil Insurance companies play fast and loose with funds and set such stingent rules as to how to obtain funds that many contractors will no' even deal with some of them which leaves the insured in limbo.

I could go on and on but I do hope you get the point. Let it go? Move on with life? The majority of folks would love to be able to that but 'tis difficult when the damage remains in one's face whether waking or sleeping. So for those who fail to get the big picture and have no compassion remember this: 'tis often disaster which is visited upon he/she who has no compassion or kindness. And to those particular folks, here is a tiny tid-bit to chew on. Guess where a great deal of kindness and compassion and aid came from when the first hurricane, Katrina, hit? Why, from the neighboring states that were later hit by the the second hurricane. Aye, folks down our way do no' have to think about helping their own; to Southern folks 'tis just our way of life.

While you ponder the above, Kaithlin will post answers to some of our e-mail more deserving of answers than those of you who wasted time and effort to air your grievences about 'hearing' more about the above disasters. Dream Teller.

To Minute-man in Texas: 'Tis a stretch of the imagination to believe that you have been singled out for such a ridiculous notion as you have presented me. To assume such self-importance is no' only ludicrous but borders on the edge of stupidity. If there is such a Coven (which I have yet to be able to verify) 'tis no' known to you. Mayhap you would be best served by sticking with the known, and leaving the unknown alone. Fishing for information may catch you a shark you can no' even begin to reel in.

To Vee-Jee in S. Carolina: Take it for its worth and do no' attach more importance to it. 'Twas no more than an offer of help; a service, if you will, to steer you away from what could certainly pose a danger to you. 'Tis yours to believe or no' and yours to accept or toss aside. Blessed May You Be.

To Grant in Mississippi: Aye, and judging by the information you offered, your thoughts and feelings are justified. What you must remember is you have choices and you must make them. Do no' allow your baser feelings to over-ride your common sense. 'Tis a fine line between the two; the dark and the light, and you would do well to understand that embarking upon certain paths leaves one with no route of return or escape. Blessed May You Be.

To Forest-Nymph in Alabama: Pray tell. Your Kind are out and about, as they have been for time, untold. Follow your awakening instincts, look far and away to the West, and there will you find whom and what you seek. Your troop will welcome you with open arms for they have long sought others of your Kind; those born in this world with no knowledge of their true origins. Do no' blame your mother for her silence, for many as she were forced to lead lives away from their own for fear of punishment. 'Tis no' offensive that your father was Human-Kind, for he was meant to be protector for you and your mother until such time as you could stand alone. My sincere condolences for your recent loss. Know that in time you will learn that all has happened as 'twas neccessary in order for you to find your rightful place. Safe journey and Blessed May You Be.

To Beatrice in New Jersey: From here to there and everywhere just about sums it up. Time is of no real importance in the scheme of things; particularly, to one such as our resident Vampyre, Garth. As he has stated in the past, there are certain places dear to his heart, but none he can no' walk away from should the need arise. Many times in the distant past he was forced to leave cherished places and belongings behind. But as Garth will tell you: " The surival instinct is strong and only those who grow weary of their long existence will hang onto what they so cherish until 'tis too late." Blessed May You Be.

To Geran in Louisiana: Runes are a most powerful divinatory tool when in the hands of one with the knowledge of their origins and meanings. There are twenty-four; each marked with a glyph. Alone or combined, their meanings and energies provide insight into past, present, and future to give an understanding of the situations one seeks to understand. There are many ways to read the runes there are particularly powerful spreads required for deeper, more intense understanding. Aye, and Outsiders can and do learn to read Runes but 'tis a gift that requires much study. Certainly, there are many books on the market one can obtain and study. But 'tis to those with the ancient knowledge, passed down through the ages, whom are empowered with the true gift of devination. Blessed May You Be.

Blessings Upon All, Dream Teller.
