A message from Kaithlin

Bonjour mes amies.

'Twas good to hear from Dream Teller yesterday, non? She is still out in the field with the Warlock Gregory, both of whom we hope will soon take a much needed break from their duties. 'Tis been a huge effort on the Council's part to assist those in need, and every member of our coalition is doing their part. But it falls to our leaders to see that every base is covered; no' a small task.

Back here, at the lair, we rotate out into the field and back again, and what we have seen of the devestation from the storm is heart breaking. But that natural disaster pales in comparison to some of the other things we see. Aye, our fears were and continue to be realized. Predators of the sort we deal with have no conscience. While they use the situation to their advantage, they inflict other kinds of terror upon already distraught folks who haven't a prayer of defending themselves. And how sad and horrible is that?

Thankfully, the death toll from the storm was nowhere near the number predicted. But of those who perished, many would have survived had it no' been for those unconscionable fiends who lurked in the shadows. Their opportunity to pick and choose their victims with ease must surely leave many of you wondering what life is worth, when defenseless individuals are at the mercy of what they do no' even realize exists. I, too, have wondered at that. Yet, in my heart I know that no just God(s) ignores innocent folks. 'Tis much in the way of other disasters that strike without warning; circumstance, which places certain people in the path of distruction. No one of us has a choice in the method or mode of death, and 'tis for that reason that we all must seek to live rightly in order to reach our final destination.

Sounds trite, I know; too simplified. But as a Catholic Bishop once told me; "God is ever merciful to those who live according to His plan. He does not take life but gives it; and it is circumstance or situation which ends a life. But He is there to welcome His children home." I thought about that for a long time; questioned the sense and rightness of it. Eventually, I came to this conclusion. 'Tis my belief that each of us is given the gift of life and 'tis our mission on earth to discover the difference in right and wrong, to live accordingly, by making right choices as to how we conduct our lives. Those who tread the right path, regardless of how they die, will reach eternal salvation. Those who take the wrong path are doomed by their own choice. That is no' to say that they meet with some cruel method of death for their sins, but that the method is of little consequence in comparison to their just punishment. How many times have we all heard that life is all about the choices we, ourselves, make? Think about that, and mayhap you will come to understand the message of your chosen faith. Take care in all that you do and seek, for your salvation is in your own hands.

Some of you will immediately question the deaths of innocent children in regards to the ability to have and make choices. 'Tis my belief that innocents who die at birth or early in life are messagers sent us for a specific purpose; and 'tis our lot to figure out that message. Did no' the Christian God sacrifice His only Son? Ponder that, as Dream Teller would say. If you believe in salvation then surely you believe that earthly suffering is a small price to pay for eternal life, where there is no suffering ever again.

'Tis no' my intention to preach but only to cause you to question your choices and your beliefs. Many of us become callous, jaded even, as we go through life. And often times we are so busy concentrating on our own immediate needs that we fail to remember the true purpose of our existence. So, as you go about your busy life, mayhap I have given you food for thought that will help you, in some small way. I hope so. Blessed May You Be.

A message from Dream Teller

Good morning.
'Tis been a long and arduous two weeks since last we posted to our blog. We have spent a major portion of that time in the field, assisting those who were in the path of the hurricane. 'Tis a sad situation, but no' all has been defeat. Some of our colleagues lost their homes and possessions, too, but that has no' stopped them from going to the aid of others who were less fortunate. While I know how dedicated my colleagues are, I still marvel at how unselfishly they have cast aside their own problems and sorrows, and gone about the business at hand.

I can no' begin to tell you of the devestation seen, first hand; scenes the television news can no' do justice to. Many of you have e-mailed us to tell us of friends and family members you have in the hard hit areas, some have requested assistance, and others of you have generously offered to send supplies, money, and so forth. To those who are still waiting to hear from your loved ones, I can only say hold on, there are many agencies attempting to reunite families, find missing children, and they are doing their best. The chaos is beginning to settle and 'tis my hope that all of you will find your loved ones. To those offering supplies and money, I encourage you to contact a reputable agency, as we do no' have the means to receive nor distribute those. Blessings upon all of you for your kindness.

As our colleagues continue to do their part, protect the innocent; hunt down those who prey upon them, I am pleased to say that our efforts have met with some success. You know those of whom I speak, and our greatest feat to date was to apprehend one of the most notorious fiends one can imagine. Our search and destroy mission will continue, as always. 'Twas the horrendous circumstances brought about by the storm that gave us a leg up in our efforts. He, and others like him, got careless and 'tis that carelessness and their greed which most often undoes them.

As the mission continues, we will gradually draw back and regroup for we must no' leave other areas without assistance. Too, each of us must come in for a much needed rest, which is being done on a rotation-type basis. If you stop to consider all that is involved with our work, you will surely figure out that we are stretched thin; to the point of breaking. And while 'tis most difficult to walk away from the situation, even for a few hours, it must be done.

I would ask that you hold off e-mailing us, as there is no possible way to answer all our mail. We are only maintaining a skeleton crew here at the lair, and they are busy taking care of the needs of those in the field. In the meantime, know that we will eventually get back on track and until we do, please keep the faith, continue to pray for the less fortunate, and stay safe. Blessed May You Be, Dream Teller.

From the staff here at the Lair...

Hello and welcome to Dream Teller's blog.

Everyone here is busy doing their part for the people who suffered in the Gulf Coast hurricane that has crippled that area. And while we are only maintaining a skeleton crew here at the Lair, Dream Teller has directed us to try and update the posts, as time allows. Not much of that; time, given the situation. So we will fo our best.

You heard last from the Warlock Gregory; felt some of his frustration through his words. What you probably don't know is that his own family and home were affected by the storm. Certainly, not to the degree as many were affected but all the same... Yet, he and his family are out there in the thick of things helping the hardest hit victims, doing all they can possibly do to prevent already traumatized folks from falling victim to another type of horrendous disaster.

If you've been following our posts then you know of what I speak. The human criminal element is the least of folks' worries. There is a whole other contingent of criminal element that is using the situation to their advantage. Lower echelon Vampyres and Werewolves, rogues of both types, some running in packs and others who hunt, alone; dehumanized beasts of prey. Worse, some of those Vampyres have with them the unholy; demons, from the Netherworld. Those savage beasts are used as soldiers, purveyors of humanity. Their masters control them with heinous promises of what demon's most desire; souls. It boils down to a bartering system; flesh and blood, for souls.

Imagine this scenario if you can: folks already in dire straights being lured in by promises of food, shelter, and other much needed aid. Approached by what appears to them to be kind and helpful strangers, humans, who pick and choose their quarry and tell them they are more deserving of help than others, the innocent are so desperate they don't stop to wonder why they were singled out from among the huge masses. Where, before, these charlatans had to stalk their prey at great risk of being discovered, their prey stands on every street-cornor, is trapped on rooftops, is wading through filthy water, and sitting among ruble of what was their life. Easy pickings; the needy. Now, imagine the promises that are made to those poor suffering individuals; something along the lines of "God has deserted you in your time of need". I think you can take it from there.

The sad truth is that in such dire circumstances the traumatized are willing to do what is generally difficult to get most humans to do; promise their souls in exchange for the promised gloryland where they will receive all the water, food, clothes, shelter, and money they desire. Seem impossible that someone would fall for that line? Not at all. Many of these innocents were poor to begin with; without real means to take care of their families and self. They are further fooled when their stalker easily produces immediate enducements, a bottle of water, a sandwich... Do the math. If you are starving, thirsty, hurt... Thus, they are easily led into the trap from which they cannot escape. The demons have their promised souls, which they can only get by delivering their human cargo to the Vampyre master who will torture them and dine upon them until death releases those souls to their second captors.

Whole famililes are being delivered into that hell. But only the souls of consenting adults are at risk for no one can barter another' s soul. Children's souls cannot be bartered for, thus those small innocents suffer the savagery of the Vampyre or Werewolf, but their souls are freed to go to a higher plane. At least their suffering is over.

If any good is derived of this natural disaster it is that those lawless humans preying upon their own Kind are the easiest to lure into the trap. Their street-smarts in no way prepare them for the far-more intelligent beasts who prey upon them. In fact, they are something of a game, toyed with, if you will, before they are brought to their knees. Poetic justice, I suppose. They face far worse than what they've been doing to others. But, as has been pointed out here so many times, it is the children, the true innocents, that the Vampyres most desire.

On top of all of that, there are rogue satanic cults out there seeking the same. They, too, do business with the scum of the world's underbelly; bartering, exchanging goods for goods; humanity. They prey upon children of all ages, particularly virginal children of both genders. Naturally, that equates to the very young. Most prized by them are the few, older children; adolescents and teenagers, who remain virginal. The older the virgin, the more powerful the benefits to the practicioner of satanism and the Black Arts. Get it?

Another scenario: the adolescent or teen who has been separated from family and friends by this disaster. Imaginge a kind stranger on the scene who promises to help them find their family, who produces water and food... Imagine the young girl or boy packed into the superdome, or wandering through sewage in allies and streets, where there are no lights. In danger of being raped by other human vermin, someone steps out of the darkness and saves them... Do the math.

You might wonder how the unholy would know who is virginal and who is not. It is a simple matter for them; touching the innocent's mind, and getting whatever information they need. Those with supernatural powers easily move about the population by disguising themselves either as humans, or merely by remaining invisible to the human eyes. Frightening isn't it? The darkness is their cover, their shield, from behind which they carry out their covert operations. Factor in human fear and desperation and the disaster areas provides them with a playground; easy pickings. Goes to the very roots of one's religious beliefs, doesn't it?

But as horrible as it seems, you must remember that where choices were made by consenting adults, regardless of their situation, they willfully bartered their souls. Where innocent children are involved, those children reap higher rewards that far outweigh their human suffering. Non-consenting adults who are snatched off the streets by the more beastly types (yes, there are degrees of beastliness), bare no blame for their circumstances, unless they plead for their lives by bartering their souls. Folks, life is what it is and every human suffers some tragedy at some point in life. Relinquishing one's soul for a taste of water, food, or anything else is the basis for damnation. We all know it, though many deny it.

So you can see that Mother Nature's havoc set the scene for something far worse. And that worst is what we and our commrades attempt to prevent. Sadly, there aren't enough of us to prevent all, but we do our best to see that those situations aren't allowed to arise. We preach the keeping of one's faith, whatever persuasion that is, particularly in dire straits. Suffering the fallout from such a storm is no acceptable reason for selling one's soul to the highest bidder.

There are many, many predators out there; all types and Kinds, lost souls who will eventually get their just dues for their sins. Immortals are not exempt, any more than mortals are. Vampyres and Werewolves are not indestructible, as many assume. They have their vulnerabilities, and eventually they will cease to exist, by one method or another. The predators have thrown caution to the wind. They have the same opportunities as others of their Kinds; the opportunity to do good for all. It is their choice, for they know they stand to face the same wrath or kindness as their kin who do good. The desparity of skill and power among all Kinds is not the issue, but the quality of being, and of right and wrong.

So many times, the bid for forgiveness is made of the desparity of culture, stations in life, race, hardships, and so forth. When it comes down to salvation, those are no defense, regardless of Kind. Enough said?

Now, I would like to take a moment to address other issues. The type of situation going on at this minute brings out other vermin, of the human variety. Those predators are preying among us as we speak. They are the thieves who use the situation as a cover to defraud the public. They come in all shapes and sizes, vermin who seek to part you from your money. They purport to be fund raisers for the victims of the storm. Don't be taken in. They have powerful tools of persuasion, particularly the internet and the phone system. Give and give freely, but not to a nameless, faceless individual or corporation. Don't give out your bank account number, credit card number, or any other personal source of finance. Give directly to known organizations, Red Cross; church of your choice; Salvation Army, and so forth. Be wise, otherwise those you intend helping will not see a penny of your money, and you will become a victim of identity theft. If we are careful, we can stop those types dead in their tracks with very little effort and remove them from the equation. So take care, and please, help in whatever capacity you can. Blessings to you all.

Stop judging and blaming...

I cannot bring myself to say good morning.

While the rest of the country wakes up to a new day, complete with all the neccessities and comforts of life there are thousands upon thousands of people suffering and dying in the wake of the storm that hit the gulf coast. What you see on your television does not begin to tell the gruesome tale that continues in the city of New Orleans, and in other great cities and communities.

Folks, the pointing of fingers and the blame game for the lack of relief for these people is wrong; worse, it serves only to inflame feelings and emotions. Unless you have been there, seen first-hand what is taking place, you can't begin to understand the logisitics of the situation. You want to see relief workers flooding in to help those in need but they can't. They are slow to get to those in need for various reasons; ways in and out of the affected areas are impassable but for by air and water, and the few roads in are dangerous to traverse. Added to that are the hoodlums and criminals who have shone their true colors; turned into ravenous animals shooting at relief workers, killing their own if they get in their way, and generally worsening a terrible situation.

Yes, it tears at your soul when you see the situation at the superdome but you have to understand the criminal element is among that vast crowd; inciting already starving people to behave as they wouldn't otherwise behave. Remember, the news is reporting in a biased manner, sensationalizing the desperation while our law enforcement agents are being systematically penned down and forced to defend themselves. The government is doing it's job, sending in troops who have to prepare themselves to defend their own lives while they prepare to try and render aid. They have to find ways to get to folks and then they have to face massive crowds of angry, starving people who storm anyone who comes on the scene. The point of deterioration isn't the governments fault, or the state officials fault. It isn't a matter of fault, for no matter how carefully plans are laid, one can only carry out one's duties according to the situation they come upon.

It is the nature of those who don't bother to involve themselves in anything more than watching this horror play out on their televisions to make judgements based on their armchair quarter-backing. Those who can't even begin to understand the out-of-control situation wrought by Mother Nature; not the government, need to still your sharp tongues, get off your asses, and help! Shut down the vitrol toward everyone and offer some type of positive assistance. This isn't a game; there are lives being lost and destroyed every single minute, people who have already been forced to endure this horror are still being victimized. Think of all the children being traumatized; sitting in filth; seeing people die right before their young eyes; listening and watching to what no child should be in the middle of.

Those of you closest to the disaster who weren't touched by the storm, think about opening your homes to the relief workers, troops, law enforcement agents and so on. Damnit, do something! Those of you further afield, get busy and provide food for these people who are trying to help the needy. They can't subsist on their rations forever! Collect food, cook, and get off your lazy asses and drive it to them! Form a pipeline to get those needed things where they need to be. If you have a vehicle, you have the ability to help. Don't point fingers and criticize if you do no more than sit back and watch and say 'By the grace of God, there go I'.

The rest of you find ways to render aid; open your pocketbooks, pray, pray, and don't stop praying for those in need and those rendering aid to the best of their ability. And for the sake of everyone involved in this disaster, in whatever capacity they are involved, stop making judgements. Shut it down, now! We don't need you inflaming this horrendous situation. The Warlock Gregory.
