Majical Arts

Fair day, all.

I am the Sorceress Suzaunna and 'tis a pleasure to be with you, again. At Dream Teller's request I will speak to the many requests you have e-mailed with regards to the Majical Arts and practicioners of those, of which there are many. What one must first understand is that there is class distinction with regards to Majical Arts. Certain types are considered 'High Ritual' or 'Ceremonial' Majic while other types are deemed 'Low Majic'. There is nothing difficult to understanding those, for they speak for themselves.

Apparently there are many of you, Outsiders, who are under the impression that being a true Witch naturally endows one with all the powers and abilities of our Kind. 'Tis mistaken you are in that belief. Never in our history has there been a single Witch possessed of 'all' power. Certainly there has been and there are, today, some extremely gifted individuals with much higher degrees of power than others of our Kind. But even they are no' 'all' powerful. 'Tis no' the way of it and thankfully so.

If you pause to think about that surely you will see the good in that impossibility. For there to be so powerful an individual Witch would be to upset the balance between good and evil. Aye, there are both types of Witches among us, as there are both types of Outsiders among your Kind. Individual Witches have specialized gifts that lend themselves to certain areas of expertise. That is no' to say that one can no' have other preferences and practice those Arts with finesse; merely, that each of us is gifted so that we are more adept in particular Arts.

At this point, I see no reason to bore you with ancient history or historical figures to prove any points of interest, for your library carries many such accountings (although many are skewed) if you wish to delve into our history. What is most important here, is the present and the future. And those are what we will concentrate upon, for now.

There are many and varied Majical Arts. Some of the ancient Arts are more or less set in stone and require specific knowledge for the exactness of preparation and deed. But others have evolved, as Practicioners have fine tuned the preparations, so to speak. As with any Kind, some Witches have embraced modern times and incorporated the present into their Rituals and Ceremonies. As I am a young Sorceress, I keep the old and embrace the new, thus I consider myself to hold the best of both worlds. 'Tis how ways evolve; in the combining and refining.

My Maman, the Sorceress JoHaunna, and my Steppapa, the Warlock Gregory are, to my way of thinking, the finest examples of what a true Witch is. More, they are finer examples of Warlock and Sorceress. They have done what was once considered impossible; a Warlock and a Sorceress able to coexist and more, cohabit as equal partners. Mayhap it came easier for them as each parented off-spring who were all destined to be Warlocks and Sorceress. That too is rare, for so many of such power to be born to one family ( Maman birthed five sons, all of whom are Warlock and myself, and Gregory begot two sons, both of whom are Warlock) and all of us coexist peacefully and are extremely close as a family could possibly be. So, you see that things can and do change with the times.

I and my brothers enjoyed the learning to hone our special abilities from Maman, and now Papa is our mentor as well. Each of our parents are powerful in their own right (Gregory is a Master of his Kind and Maman is his female equal). Dream Teller has often spoken here of their prowess and few are their equals. 'Tis from them that we learned that evil begets evil and thus ne'er to use our abilities for naught but what is right and good. That is no' to say that we are no', at times, forced to walk the fine line between good and evil in order to achieve a right and just purpose. 'Tis that which must be done with care, for many a good Witch has fallen prey to the darkness of the Black Arts.

Of the many, Alchemy; Charming; Commanding and Compelling; Divination; Healing;Necromancy; Spell-casting; and Spirit-summoning are the major Majical Arts. Within each of those are many avenues of practice and each Witch practices differently though all hold to the basic principles of the Arts. The Arts have long been considered malevolent means to evil ends by Outsiders; particularly, by religious leaders of other faiths. And so they can be but 'tis no' so with all Witches, for the many of us use them for good. The mere fact that we are possessed of such gifts tends to instill fear in those who are no' gifted in that manner; has done since the beginning of time. But of late (the last twenty-five years, or thereabouts), Outsiders are beginning to accept that we are merely different, rather than all being evil-doers.

'Tis still we find ourselves in difficult situations, and still we must take care to whom we reveal our true selves, for there will always be those who will no' accept us and seek to destroy our Kind. I will stop at this juncture and return in the near future to discuss the principles of each of the above named Arts. I bid you, fare well.

The Shape of Things to come...

Bonjour mes amies.

'Tis been a busy week here at the Lair. I hope your week was productive and that each of you realized all you meant to achieve. Dream Teller is presently out of town attending a conference with the Council of Allies. The Council has been working on setting a new agenda. Following the havoc during and since the hurricanes (has it really been five months past?), 'tis a major task they face, for many of them are also in the process of recouping. But evil takes no rest, regardless of fine or foul weather, and the scope of danger to innocent victims, as well as our own, has grown disproportionately.

The scales are balanced on the dark side and must be tipped toward the light, else all we fight for will be lost. Some of you e-mail us and wonder why we even bother to fight what often appears a daunting, no-win situation. 'Tis the Way of It with our Kind; the ever on going defense of all that is right and good. To leave evil to wander the earth without challenge is to give up and allow our beautiful earth to fall to ruin, and her peoples to become no more than frightened, hunted animals. Just as Outsiders fight for justice of the known, 'tis our lot to fight the unknown; all for the same reasons.

During these times many scoff at the very idea that modern society could be set back in such a way as to become anything remotely like darker times when evil ruled the world. 'Tis no' such a far-fetched possibility since, more and more, evil doers of all Kinds continue to grown in numbers. Their safety lies in the very thing that protected many of them down through the ages; disbelief, in their existence. But they do exist and they are far more powerful than even the greatest Master of any Kind could formerly have ever imagined. Unlike days of yore, modern technology has done more than bring comfort and ease to society. It has given our foes a wicked weapon with which to move about, freely. Think about it. Rather than expend energy roaming the earth looking for their needs, they merely have the world at their fingertips. The computer keyboard, the world-wide web, and a host of information. To one who is already a master-mind....

True, as many of you have let us in on your thoughts, 'tis a right hilarious vision when one imagines a rogue Vampyre, Sorcerer, or Werewolf sitting at a computer. But only if you are a non-believer in their existence. For those of us who know the truth, 'tis no' funny at all. 'Tis a most frightening reality. Modern technology in the hands of fiends is tantamount to every person the world over having access to the button to launch the nuclear bomb. And nay, I am no' blowing things out of proportion. 'Tis just that insane; the reality. And that, mes amies, is why we do what we do. Fair day to all, Kaithlin.

And now to post Dream Teller's answers to some e-mail.

To Terza in Delaware: I expect my novel to go to the publishers the first of the coming week. 'Tis been long in the making and time to move forward with the process. I thank you for your interest and will keep interested visitors posted as things move along. Blessed May You Be.

To Cindy in Georgia: 'Tis no' the subject of your interest which baffles me but the reasons for the interest. I will only advise you to think long and hard before you take such a life changing step, for once taken, it can no' be undone. While the unknown holds much appeal for those bored with their own existence, 'tis a powerful evil couched in even the most seemingly harmless majic. There will always be those willing to lead you astray, in ways you have no' ever dreamed possible. Do as you will, for 'tis your choice, alone, to make. Blessed May You Be.

To Boyd in S. Carolina: Majic is.... Many still hold the view that 'tis no more than 'hocus-pocus' and therein lies the problem for non-believers. The problem being that non-believers make perfect targets for those with majical abilities who mean them harm. Some non-believers (like you and your buddies) up the ante (danger to themselves) by taunting, daring, and scoffing. Those with majical abilities are proud of their gifts and no' even the gentlest majic-maker will tolerate such behavior. But, 'tis the evil-doer of whom one must take care no' to cross. Here is a thought for you. Why do you suppose he has made the four of you aware of him? It appears you and your friends have crossed paths with one whom you have no business taunting. I have no way of knowing whether or no' he is of dark or light majic, but I can tell you whichever he chooses to unleash upon you will teach you one of two things, the lesson you deserve or the alternative; one you brought upon yourselves, from which there is no salvation.

To Erika in France: Bonjour. Pas de quoi (You are welcome). I am pleased that all has come right for you in the end. 'Tis rare that one escapes such a threat but your clear-thinking is, according to Garth, what tipped the scales in your favor. Aye, and even though you did no' notice him, he was there and he has nothing but good things to say about you. Continue on your path for 'tis certain good things are in your future. Blessed May You Be.

To Ron in Texas: Non, you are mistaken. 'Twas no' one of ours who approached you, for we do no' operate in that manner. Either she is having you on, or... well, the obvious, non? Take care and Blessed May You Be.

To Kim in Arkansas: Aye, and most of our visitors do hail from the southern states. 'Tis the deep south where many a legend was born and where their ancestors continue on. There is much majic shimmering about the south (no' to say it does no' exist in the upper states) and 'tis what draws many a majic-maker from other areas. Since my roots are in the South, I do tend to lean toward the goings-on, here. However, I mean no slight to the other states, for there is much in the way of Majic, Majic-Makers, and history abounds there, too. Blessed May You Be.

To Loren in New York: Nay, I do no' condone nor give space to such negativism. Were I more the vindictive type, such a dare would cost you greatly, young woman, But as I am no' the type, I will leave you with this: Take care what you dare for there is always one willing to take you up, and more the fool; you.

Help us fill a dire need.

Fair day, all.

I am the Sorceress JoHaunna and I am pleased to speak to you, today. 'Tis the first free time I have had since the hurricanes ravaged Louisiana; my home state. At present, my family and I are in the process of rebuilding what was lost to us; our homes. Many of our personal belongings were lost as well, others were damaged but we were no' hit as hard as many others. 'Tis no' our way to complain but to move forward, for the past can no' be undone.

As you already know, the Warlock Gregory, my partner, is involved with many charities which serve children in need. The number of young ones in need has grown at an alarming rate since the storm and Gregory is working feverishly to accomodate those needs. Some of you may think we only serve children who become victims of other-worldly fiends but that is no' the case. We attempt to reach out to as many others as we can, victims of child abuse; addicts (there are so many); and children without parental guidance and safe haven.

The charities Gregory chairs are near depleted of funds and inventory, and we understand that other chairitable foundations are in the same dire straits. I am here today to appeal to all to lend a helping hand, whether with time, money, and/or food and clothing. Certainly, there are certain organizations more dear to our hearts, those we are associated with, but no one organization is more deserving than the next, so 'tis your choice to which one you donate.

I have read some of the e-mail that comes across Dream Teller's desk and we realize that many, many gracious people have given more than their share and some are stretched thin, from former donations. 'Tis what I cherish; the caring and concern of people who give out of the goodness of their hearts. We understand how a family's budget can be stretched so that there is no extra to give, and to those who are at that point, we thank you, for all that you have done in the past.

In difficult times such as these, we appeal no' only to our God, but to all Supreme Beings worshipped by every faith. And we encourage all who are faithful to a particular religion to pray for the children who are desperately in need; regardless of that need. I encourage you to urge your friends, family, and co-workers to begin a prayer chain; to join hands, and open your hearts and minds. If you watch the news you know that many cities along the southern coastline are still struggling to get back to normal and many families are still displaced, without jobs, and other neccessities.

While some of you have protested you are weary of hearing about the storm disasters, know that those who suffered through them are far more weary of living it. Merci (thank you), JoHaunna.

A true Werewolf speaks...

Good day.

I am Michael; here with you at Dream Teller's request. I have to say I am somewhat surprised at the amount of interest many of you have expressed in Werewolves. But I am not surprised at how little most of you know about them. I will attempt to clarify some misconceptions concerning my Kind. Yes, I am Werewolf; born, not made, so I can speak with authority.

The first myth I will shatter is this: Born Werewolves don't endure bone-crunching, painful change from human to wolf. The change is swift and smooth, so swift it is difficult for the ordinary human eye to detect. Many of the 'tales' you read would have you believe that the pain is punishment for what we are. If that were the case there would be a great many angry wolves on the prowl. Thankfully, such is not the case. We are not the spawn of the devil nor do we have a terrible disease, as many tales would have you believe, but a breed apart from your own. Our genetics are what determine our species.

Myth #2: In our human form we are a ragtag band of gypsies who skulk in the woods away from other societies. (If you ever run upon a Were skulking in the woods you best believe you have more than likely come upon a rogue who cares nothing for human life.) As for ragtag, I assure you that, too, is a misconception. But allow me to add this before I continue: There are those of my Kind (myself included) who much prefer life in the forests to life in town or city. That is a natural preference given that down through time, forests and woods were the safest place for our Kind. Too, we are naturalists by nature; do not take well to confinement; and need the earth beneath our feet and the trees around us. And back to the topic of how we look. If you passed me or my kin on the street, you would not know us from others of your Kind. Our 'gifts' enable us to do well in life and we are well educated, well dressed, and, for the most part, well mannered.

But for all of that, Werewolves continue to be painted as savage beasts intent on nothing more than killing Human Kind. We are not mindless beasts in our wolf form. Our humanity melds with the animal such that we possess a higher intelligence than ordinary people and wolves. We see more clearly, hear more acutely, and perceive what goes on around us with a greater sense of perception while in either form.

Those beasts of whom you read are mostly fictional, although there is some truth in regards to the rogues of our Kind. There are reasons why one turns rogue; none I would condone, but clearly those need to be known. Many of the rogues in the distant past were Werewolves discovered by reigning Monarchs. They allowed themselves to be bought and used against the enemy. In those days they had little education, as was the case with most outside of the King's fancy, and often they were overpowered by the very army they fought beside and chained until there was further use for them. Some were beaten unmercifully; others, destroyed. Those who survived found escape and became savage beasts intent upon the destruction of their deceivers. The beast can certainly overpower one's humanity, if allowed to.

In more recent times, our Kind has been the butt of many jokes by non-believers, was hunted and destroyed to near extinction by self-proclaimed Were hunters, and it is just in the last half-century that our numbers are coming back. We are smarter, more wily, and less self-indulgent than our forefathers and that due to evolution of time. As with any species, change is neccessary to keep abreast of modern society. So, like other Kinds, many of us live, work, and socialize among you; Outsiders.

It was long thought that Werewolves were Immortals but that is not the case. We are long-lived, well beyond ordinary human years, but eventually we age, as the rest of Human-Kind, just at a much slower pace. We perpetuate our Kind; love our cubs to distraction, and work hard to help them find their place in society. Some of us are privileged to amass wealth but we prefer to stay out of the limelight, for the need to protect our identities is instinctive.

Another myth is that Werewolves are unable to control the change when the full moon is upon us. There is truth in that as it relates to the cub who reaches the age of first change; as a teenager. It is the inherant responsibility of the parents to teach the child how to accept, and behave according to our laws. Others of our Kind lend a helping hand, for all our offspring are important and neccessary to the survival of our Kind.

Yet another myth is that only the males of our Kind are true Werewolves but there is no truth in that. Both sexes have dual natures and both undergo the change. While most of us prefer to mate with our own Kind, there are those who find a mate of the Human variety. That in no way weakens the bloodline but it does seem to temper the animal nature, somewhat. Those Weres of mixed parentage are more likely to enjoy the best of both worlds, if the Human mate is accepting of our Kind. Some attempt to accept and fail, others manage it quite well. Mating with one's own Kind is most desirable. Weres mate for life and if something happens to one, the other will live out life, alone. So it is preferable to mate with like Kind, since Humans age and die quicker than Weres.

As to the belief that the change is painful; that does apply to the made Werewolf, but only during the first few changes. It requires time for the body and the genetics to shift from one nature to two. And there is danger involved in turning a Human. Some are unable to adjust and become crazed predators, others use it to unworthy advantage and those must be put down for the good of our Kind and of those victims upon which they would prey. (Those types are the ones around which most of myth is based).

There is much more to the life of the Werewolf but I will stop here and save the rest for a later date. I have given you the basics to mull over and if the interest continues, I will be happy to get into the deeper aspects. Michael

The Lair, and e-mail

Fair day, all.

My name is Tessa and I'm a member of Dream Teller's staff. Several of you have e-mailed and asked what it is that we all do here at the Lair and what it is like to work for Dream Teller. While the office is a place of business, it has none of the sterile feel to it one might find in other offices. The furnishings lend it a homey atmosphere with just the right touch of understated elegance one would expect of our resident author. I would have to say that Dream Teller is one of a kind; a professional who gets things done but with a homespun nature. How do those stack up in her line of work and business? Simple; she is a tough competitor, relentless in her efforts to succeed in all that she believes, is fiercely protective of loved ones and friends, enjoys giving of herself to others... Well, I could go on and on but you get the picture.

The nature of the most important business conducted from the Lair might lead you to think that our offices would reflect something to do with that. But such isn't the case. Were you to walk in, you would assume the pleasant atmosphere is in keeping with the work of an author; worlds apart from the work of one who deals with Beings of other Kinds, and all that entails. There are, of course, subtle hints sitting about but one would have to know what to look for.

Because there are many things going on at once from this location our staff is split into small groups; each working on a particular area of business. But each of us is trained, or in training, so that any one of us can move from one area to another, as the need arises. Certainly there are things some can manage and others cannot; dependant upon our natural talents. In other words, the Outsiders among us can't tend to business that requires the gifts of a Witch, etc. But they can learn to aid and assist, and all here are capable of doing so. What we have is a well-trained group and each of us knows our capabilities; thus we work like a well-oiled machine.

As with any business there are the mundane tasks related to office management; that to do with the author's business. Of course that is meant to be the outward appearance, for obvious reasons. That also lends cover for those who come and go, at all hours of the day and night. The cover works because we even have law officers and deputies who stop by in the late hours for a cup of coffee and a chat, without a clue as to whom they are among or the nature of their business.

Assuredly, none who come through here are attired in such a way as to attract suspicion. And while certain attire is neccessary to ritual, things of that nature are carried out in different, 'safe' locations. While he prefers more revealing attire, it isn't unusual to see our resident Vampyre Garth, dressed in faded jeans and such. And while the Warlock Gregory prefers the color black and more formal wear befitting his station, he too dresses down when visiting the Lair. Logic tells you that blending in with regular society is the order of the day for those who are of a different society.

For all outward appearances, the Lair is a private suite of offices given to conducting ordinary business. What goes on behind the scenes stays that way and nothing can be misconstrued as anything other than what it appears. Just recently, Dream Teller leased a suite of offices to a friend; the lady who designs and creates the lovely capes you've heard Dream Teller talk about. And while the lady is well aware of the other business (she lends assistance when needed), her business lends us an added air of the ordinary; a designer in residence.

So now you know what goes on here and I assure you that each of us who is employed at the Lair thoroughly enjoys what we do; be it ordinary or extraordinary. We are friends, cohorts, allies, and family and each of us is ever mindful of the need for caution, and dedicated to protecting our own.

We have received e-mail from some who declare us charlatans, others who claim our team doesn't exist at all, and still others who condemn us for the nature of our existence. To those I say, think what you will. We will continue to thrive, to work for the good of all, and to raise awareness for the co-existence of all Kinds. Health and happiness to all, Tessa.

Bonjour mes amies. I hope you enjoyed hearing from Tessa. She is by far one of Dream Teller's staunchest defenders (obvious, non?) She is also the driving force of her group; a true friend; and a Witch very dedicated to our cause. Along and along, at Dream Teller's request, you will hear from other members of the staff. Some balk at the idea of a public forum but they, too, will eventually come around. For what purpose? Because Dream Teller feels that hearing from each of us will give you a well-rounded idea of how different personalities can and do work well together, and all for a common purpose. Too, she believes that hearing what we do from different points of view will also give you a better idea of the nature of our business. In other words, just hearing from me, Kaithlin, most of the time will soon grow stale. And 'tis in our best interests to keep you informed. And now to post answers to more e-mail:

To Range Rider in Nevada: One's gender and age have no bearing on when or where interest in things of a supernatural nature might come calling. Even a forty-something cowboy is no' exempt if 'tis meant to be. Aye, your fellow men could well think you "have lost your mind", as you put it, so I would say to you, keep your interest to yourself. Remember, there is purpose for all things, and all things have purpose. That you were drawn to that particular place of business in your search for a 'pretty' gift for your sister, may or may no' be of particular consequence. However, the feelings you described upon entering, and the pieces you were drawn to 'touch' and examine are of consequence. Stones and crystals radiate 'stirrings' when in the hands of one meant to 'feel' their power. Some are subtle stirrings while others are more powerful. What is important is your need to keep them in your home in your personal space. As to the dreams you have begun having: do no' fear them, allow them to unfold, and therein will you find what you seek. Blessed May You Be.

To May in Texas: I have no idea what your son is involved in, but it sounds something you need to investigate. At fifteen, you are his first line of defence, whether he likes it so, or no'. If 'tis what you fear, he could well get in over his head without a clue as to the danger. You might first make discreet inquiries concerning the adult such as who else knows of him and what he is doing in town. Listen to your son, for eventually one of his age will give something of what he is doing away; keep an eye on him for any outward changes in appearance and behavior; and know where he is and whom he is with. Granted that may be difficult, but as you stated that he is shy and no' one to be out at all hours, you should be able to accomplish that. In the meantime, inquire about the establishment he has begun to frequent; go there, yourself. In other words, be a parent, but discreetly, so as no' to call attention to yourself. Blessed May You Be.

To Jess in Texas: Nay, for 'tis of your own doing. Aye, and all of us make mistakes but no' to that degree and with the intent to do so. What you have done will come back on you and there is purpose for that. Consider yourself blessed that 'tis no' worse than 'twill be and learn from it, otherwise....

To Karen in New York: Heads up. Meet Garth in the prescribed place at the precise time and he will take things from there. Blessed May You Be.

To Gwenyth in California: We are no' a proper investigative team regarding that matter. Hasten to contact your local law enforcement agency. Blessed May You Be.

To Danny in Delaware: Commanding and Compeling spirits to do your bidding is a dangerous game for those without proper and complete knowledge of the rituals and the bindings. You may well call upon one who has no desire to do your bidding, or will extract a high price you are no' willing to pay, for the doing. Leave it be and proceed in a normal fashion. Blessed May You Be.

General Information

Fair day, all.

As the second month of the new year begins, some of us are beginning to recoup from the disasters of last year. But here in the south there are still so many left without homes and jobs, as a result of the hurricanes destructive forces. Your generosity has been exceptional and I hope you will continue to offer your prayers for recovery.

I have had many inquiries as to how Witches who lost their homes, etc. will fare without all of their personal, majical tools. Many had the foresight and the time to 'save' those things most neccessary and precious to them. Others who lost those things, for whatever reason, have moved on and begun the process of fashioning new tools and consecrating them. Sadly, many lost precious items passed down through the ages, family history; ancient tomes and tools, and so on. As with anyone in the path of danger, no' all belongings can be saved. But while one will mourn the losses, Witches look to the future, for life is in the living of each new day.

As the Spring Equinox (Ostara) approaches, many a new tool will be cleansed and dedicated, for Ostara is 'the month of beginnings' or 'month of openings'; an excellent time for renewal. Whether Coven Witch, or Solitary, the Sabbat or 'High Holy Day' will be honored as all ask for hormonious intervention. New history will be written for coming generations to hark back to, and so on.

Many have also inquired why Witches did no' use their 'powers' to turn the storm in a different direction. I spoke to that topic in the past but I will say again: One does no' toy with Mother Nature without expecting major repercussions. To send such destruction upon others for the single-minded purpose of saving one's self and one's possessions earns major problems for the future. 'Tis reason for all things and if one is intelligent, one does no' interfere with what 'twas meant to be.

Several of you have inquired as to how certain of my colleagues are faring; the Warlock Gregory and his family, in particular. All are well and continue working to establish new home sites, even as they give unselfishly of their time to others in need. The Vampyre Garth and Jessica have reconsidered their decision to attempt to repair the centuries old mansion they called home, for, given the damage, the task is far too daunting. They have salvaged what was salvagable and will incorporate that into the new dwelling that will closely resemble the old. While the Vampyre Roman's home was fairly new, it took the most damage of all, and is being bulldozed. Next door, the home of the Warlock Raphael and his wife, Jeree, took very little damage, in comparison to the others' homes, so many of the family members are in residence, there. They are a strong family and all look forward, rather than back. So, as you can see, Witches and Vampyres are no different than Outsiders in their efforts to recoup from disaster.

And now Kaithlin will post answers to some of your e-mail, Dream Teller.

To Quincy in Georgia: Most certainly there exists what is known as the 'Book of Shadows'. For centuries, Majic was passed down through the ages by word of mouth. As much can be lost in that manner, for a variety of reasons, and has been, in earlier times those who could write began committing memory to paper. Majic is such that the older tomes appear as so much jibberish; no logical order. One must take into consideration the author as well as the fact that they are majical notes, if you will, and as those were handed down, each author added (sometimes deleted) information. Today, the new additions to a Witch's Book of Shadows is more uniform, more legible, and therefore, less difficult to understand. In conclusion, I would strongly encourage you to contact the elderly lady who sold you the entire lot, and ask her if she realized the tome was in that box. If she does no' ask for it to be returned then there was true purpose why 'twas given into your keeping. You may wish to attempt to discover if you and she are relatives, or if she knew a relative of yours. But whatever you do, do no' place the book for sell, for could fall into the wrong hands. Blessed May You Be.

To Jeremiah in Delaware: One is never without recourse. The danger lies in the keeping, no' the taking. Return it to where you discovered it; place it in the precise spot at the base of the tree, and cover it as it originally was. 'Tis a 'Charm' you stumbled upon; one of great power. To keep it would be to chance the turning of the power upon yourself; and 'tis something you would no' wish for. Once returned, and left alone, you will have no problem. Heed my advice, and Blessed May You Be.

To Charlotte in New York: Beware of he who seeks the prayer ribbon. To seek in that manner should tell you he is up to no good. If it belonged to him why would he need you to do the task for him? 'Tis a heathen who seeks such for that particular reason, and one you would do well to avoid. Ignore his pretty lies and turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to him. His sort will fade into the shadows as he seeks another mark, for he can no' chance calling attention to himself. Blessed May You Be.
